In order to provide its customers with GHG-free energy, ECCU has set itself the task of implementing an ISO 50001 certified energy management system with the support of Akonovia. The EMS will allow ECCU to closely monitor its energy consumption and GHG emissions, while taking action to continuously improve its energy performance.

ECCU is thus taking an eco-responsible turn that will allow better control of the operating, maintenance and upkeep costs of the thermal power plant. In addition to the training, awareness-raising and communication activities related to the EMS, regular monitoring of energy performance will make it possible to identify operational problems and therefore take corrective action quickly.
